The minors were unlucky to be beaten by the slimmest of margins by Shane O'Neills, finishing up 1-9 to 0-11.
Only one score separated the U16 girls against Patrick Rankin, with the latter finishing with 3-8 v 2-8 of the O'Doirnin Blues in their Div 5 League match.
Elsewhere, the U14 Girls had a 4 point win over Shane O'Neills in a goal fest of 12-5 v 8-13. Some sharp shooting there, well done 👏
Both the U14s & U16s had super results from their respective League ties. The U14 Newtown Emmetts saw off Forkhill 9-15 v 1-18, whilst our U16s secured victory away to Silverbridge 5-14 to 3-10 in Div 4, R1.
To top off the week, our Seniors secured their first 2 points of the League with a win at home against Clan na Gael II. It was a hard earned deserving result, coming back from 7 points down. Top scorers were Paddy McVerry with 1-6, and Aidan Davidson who slotted in the other 3-pointer and some fantastic points. A great team effort to finish 2-19 v 2-14. This should spur the lads on as they prepare for their next match away to Lissummon on 25th April.
There's a few matches this week before the Easter break. Our G4MOs will welcome Carrickcruppen for their first match of the season. There was a great turn out for their first pitch training session last week. Remember ladies, it's a non-contact, non-competitive match! It's sure to be a great evening's craic.
We wish Barra & his management team the best of luck as the Armagh minors face Antrim in the BOX-IT Athletic Grounds this Saturday at 12 noon to kick off their Championship campaign 💪
