Our U14 Newtown Emmetts had a comprehensive win in their Championship Quarter-final against Sarsfields. The lads cruised into the semi-final against Shamrock Gaels, who proved tonight to be tough opposition. However, the lads put in a huge performance. It was even enough all the way through, but a goal and 3 points midway through the second half, without reply, secured a Championship Final spot for Newtown Emmetts. Final score tonight : Shamrock Gaels 4-03 Newtown Emmetts 3-11. ⚫️ 🟠 Massive result, well done 👏
The Seniors travelled to Dromintee IIs on Friday past where they ran out winners 1-13 v 0-09. Conor Rock hit the net to put the result beyond doubt, although there were a few chances missed which could have made the scoreline look even more convincing. After Round 7, the men are sitting 3rd in the table and are holding on as the top scorers of 3B so far.
Both the U10 boys & girls headed to Crossmaglen for a busy evening of GoGames. The girls were up against a strong, physical Cross side but they were able to hold their own. There is much improvement across this age group with each game, so well done girls! The boys played Cullyhanna and hosts Cross , again displaying nifty footwork and some fine scores amidst a grey evening. Keep it up everyone.
Commiserations to Barra's minors who bowed out of the All-Ireland Tier 2 Championship at the weekend to Kildare, only two points separating the sides at the final whistle. Hopefully the spirits were lifted with the Seniors win over Dublin to secure their All-Ireland Quarter Final spot 🟠 ⚪️
