Before a break in the fixtures calendar, our underage stars were busy lining out for some GoGames.  Last week saw our U6s & U10s welcome Belleek to Newtown, whilst our U8s had a visit from Shane O'Neills.

All teams played remarkably well, and it would do the heart good seeing the club a hive of activity on a Wednesday.  Keep up the sterling efforts everyone 👏

The U8.5s also played their part in the successful Gerry Moley Memorial Blitz in Crossmaglen at the weekend.  There were matches against Ballymacnab, Silverbridge, Cullyhanna, Fingal Ravens, Crossmaglen and Irvinestown.  They paraded onto the pitch to the drone of the Sunday Game theme tune, flying the Newtown Emmets flag high.  It was their first Blitz experience and despite the energy sapping humidity, they had a fantastic day.  They definitely found their groove in the Round 2 matches, with their defence holding strong and the forwards creating plenty of scores.  They may be young but they were mighty, roll on the next one!

Elsewhere, our U16 O'Doirnin Blues had a narrow defeat to Patrick Rankins, finishing 3-14 to 4-09 in their League tie.

Our G4MOs travelled to Mullabrack for an entertaining game of football.  They're on the lookout for their next willing opponents, and new recruits always welcome.

Don't forget, our Cúl Camp kicks off next week, 14th-18th July 10am-2pm.  Online enrolments will close at 5pm on Saturday 12th July. It will reopen again on Monday morning at around 10.15am once those already enrolled have been signed in.  It's always a popular week in our club calendar, with 6-13 year olds practising their football whilst making new friends.
