The Cormac Leonard Commercials Junior Football Championship gets under way this weekend.  Our Seniors enjoy home advantage this Saturday evening for their Round 1 fixture against An Port Mór.  Armagh TV will be showing the match live for anyone who can't make it.  An Port Mór got the better of the lads in their Quarter Final showdown last season, so we'll be looking to get off to a strong start against the Division 3A League winners.  All support welcome for the lads, throw in 7.15pm - bring the blue & white !

Thank you to this week's MatchBall Sponsor for Round 1, Jonjo & Joanne Powell & family.  Pictured is Jonjo and sons, Daire & Liam presenting it to Manager, Barra.

Our only fixture last week saw the Michael O'Doirnin U16 girls overcome Naomh Peadar in Lurgan.  They led at half time 4-7 to 0-5. However, the home side came out blazing after the break, putting the visitors' resolve to the test.  The girls held on to win 6-12 to 6-10, which sees them joint top with Patrick Rankins, although the latter has a game in hand.  Fantastic football 👏  and well done to the range of scorers, a real team display :
Erin Davidson 3-5, Tara Byrne 1-0, Claire Rock 1-3, Megan Cunningham 0-2, Leah Campbell 1-0, Erin McDonnell 0-2.

The U16s Newtown Emmetts O'Doirnins will be looking to secure some much needed points in their fixture against Granemore. Elsewhere, our U10s will travel to Forkhill for some GoGames and our U6s & U8s will return to training on Wednesday evening in Dorsey at 6.30pm.  We're sure you have all been practicing those skills over the summer break!
