It was 'Terrific Thursday' for our U16 Newtown Emmetts O'Doirnins, as they emerged worthy winners against a young Silverbridge side.  The Division 4 Championship Quarter-final was the lads' first competitive match in several weeks, but they certainly didn't look the worse for the break!

The boys played great together as a team, and clocked up the metres, covering every inch of the pitch.  Joint manager, Gary Fay was impressed at how well the defenders read the game. Both midfielders and all 6 forwards got on the score sheet, it really was a team effort.  A particular mention must go to Jacob Toner, who was on fire up front scoring 5-4 from play on the night.  Well done everyone - keep er lit for the Championship semi final, which will see the lads travel to Camlough to Shane O Neills on Thursday 21 August.

Final Score :  NEO'D 7-18    Silverbridge 2-05
