Message to all Club members – Support on Underage Drinking :

Ahead of the upcoming Ulster Final, we are asking coaches to support a key safeguarding message for our young players and their families.

There have been concerning reports of underage drinking at recent fixtures, including involvement of children as young as 13. This raises serious welfare and safeguarding issues and is not acceptable at any level of our games.

We are asking coaches to help reinforce the following with players and parents:

* Underage drinking is unsafe, illegal and has no place around GAA fixtures
* Parents/guardians should be aware of where young people are travelling and gathering
* Young players should be encouraged to travel and attend matches responsibly
* All members should support a safe, family-friendly environment

Setting standards and reinforcing positive behaviour is a shared responsibility across all clubs, counties and governing bodies, including the Gaelic Athletic Association and Ulster GAA.
