Our players were soaking up the sun last week and made hay whilst the sun shone, with great performances all round.

Seniors:
Newtown got back to winning ways as vice-captain, Emmett O'Malley netted two goals and set up Oisin Hollywood for their third against neighbours Dorsey Emmets.  They may have left it late on, but their never say die attitude reaped the rewards.  The home side won 3-09 to 0-15, and can be watched back on Armagh TV.
This Sunday, the lads travel to Éire Óg and it would be great to see plenty of blue and white cheering them on.  Thank you to this week's MatchBall Sponsor, Senan McCooey & family.  Picture to follow!

Minors:
Tonight our Minors secured another very good win, with 8 points to spare in the end against  Wolfe Tones. Final score: NEODs 3-17 to Wolfe Tones 4-08.  Well done lads.

U16 Boys:
Yesterday, this group faced a very strong An Port Mór outfit in Forkhill.  Missing a few of their regulars, our defence was under pressure for most of the first half and the visitors scored some good scores and were well ahead at half time. They would have been even further ahead but for a couple of great saves from Senan McCooey and last ditch defending from our back line of Ciaran McGlinchey, Cailum Faughey , Lorcan Kirwan and Donncha Fay who put in a couple of great blocks on the Port Mór forwards. The second half was much better, the lads showed great attitude and character and worked some good scores of our own - the highlight being two fabulous 2 pointers from Noah McArdle.  FT score Port Mor 6-17 - 0-12.

U14 Boys:
A fantastic second half performance seen the lads turn a 9 point deficit at half time to an 8 point win at the final whistle. Great shift by all 18 lads that played in the game against Shane O’Neills, to set up a Championship Shield semi-final against Keady.  Adh mór 🍀

U14 Girls:
Despite not coming out the right side of the result against Middletown, the girls adapted really well to the new rules - 12 in total, with 6 mirroring those of the GAA Football Review Committee enhancements, such as the kickout mark and the 2 point arc.  Keep 'er lit girls!

U12 Girls:
These girls are growing together as a team with each outing, tonight facing a strong Shane O'Neills team in Forkhill.  A really good competitive match, great effort from you all.

U10 Boys:
In ideal conditions for football, our u10s welcomed Whitecross to Newtown for entertaining GoGames.  It was a super display of a team playing well together, picking out the players in good positions and stifling the opposition attacks.  Super team display and everyone enjoying their football, 👏

G4MOs:
The ladies are seeking out their next opponents, so will train this week on Wednesday 7pm - 8pm if anyone would like to give it a go!  They're a friendly bunch.
