The G4MOs rounded off their first season with a home game against Culloville. A massive thank you to Paul Quinn for his dedication to this team this year, and to Helen Gibney for gathering a great bunch of girls. It is brilliant to see our club represented in the G4MOs initiative, and the numbers are continuing to grow. Who knows, the girls have their sights on New York GAA's Festival of Football '25 - surely that's a worthy incentive to get involved! Well done to all our players this year, keep it up.
Speaking of Paul, he must have been inspired by the ladies' enthusiasm to don his own boots once again. He togged out in the Ulster GAA Dads & Lads Blitz for Ballymacnab, playing Mullaghbawn, Silverbridge, Madden and Cookstown Fr Rocks where healthy rivalries were reignited. Word has it he was top scorer, though that's yet to be verified! There could be plenty more Dads & Lads wanting to dust off the boots next year - watch this space!
Our U10 Newtown Emmetts had a super, albeit soaking, end to their season when they won the Micéal Murphy Memorial Blitz hosted by Dorsey Emmets. The weather was not on side at all, but the boys & girls braved the elements to take part. They enjoyed games against Ballyholland, Killean, Belleek & Whitecross, coming away victorious with the Cup. Comhghairdeas a bhuachaillí & a chailíní! 🏆
Our U6 & U8s had a fun end to their '24 season with a last run out on the pitch, before warming up in the hall with hot chocolate & goodie bags. Each player received a certificate for their sterling efforts all year, and went home happy & hyper from all the marshmallows!
Many of our boys & girls took part in the Cumann na Bunscoil competition for their respective schools, putting on great displays in fresh Autumn conditions. Great work everyone 👏
We recently had Monica Heaney of The Road Ahead Support Group attend at our club gym to receive a cheque for £600 from Dylan's parents, Shane & Catherine, and Minor Manager, Paul Carragher. This was raised at our inaugural Dylan Vallely Memorial 7-Aside Minor Tournament, and was donated to this worthy cause. Thank you to Monica for travelling to Newtown again to visit our club.
In other news, there has been plenty of activity around the club. There has been new fencing erected around the smaller pitch, as well as ball stops & Nets. This is a great addition to the club's facilities.

We again congratulate our Committee member & Senior Manager, Barra on his appointment as Armagh Minor Manager for the upcoming '25 season. We wish Barra & his backroom team of Tommy Coleman & Barry McDonald all the best in their new roles, in what should be a promising year for Armagh. With the Seniors as reigning All Ireland Champions and the Minors being All Ireland finalists this year, there is great expectation in the county. 🟠 ⚪️
