The U8s had the short trip up to Silverbridge, and the team were delighted to get their first match under their belts. A great opportunity for them to display their kick passing and teamwork.
The U10s travelled to Killeavy for their fixture, again building on the good teamwork displayed against Forkhill. It's great to see plenty of players taking on long range kicking. Loughgilly Gaels were excellent opponents for the U12s in a highly entertaining game, played in perfect conditions.
Mullaghbawn U12s travelled to play the U12 Michael O'Doirnin Emmetts, and the teams were evenly matched. Some super skills put into practice with the girls really holding their own.
The G4MOs hosted the Mullaghbawn G4MOs for an enjoyable evening of football, with some tea & sandwiches after. Word has it coach Paul Quinn has the search parties out for the scoring boots ladies, not sure if he's had any joy yet! New recruits welcome.
The U14s blitzed Silverbridge IIs in their League fixtures, running out winners on a scoreline of 9.18 - 1.5. Fantastic scoring lads 👏
The Seniors came out the wrong side of their top of the table clash against Silverbridge IIs. However, despite finishing 2-12 to 1-10, Newtown are a healthy 3rd in the League table and remain the highest scoring team of their division after their 6 games. Now to focus on Dromintee IIs next week.
Well done to Barra & his Armagh minors who won their C'ship Tier 2 match against Westmeath, keeping their Championship alive and kicking. They'll play in the All-Ireland Tier 2 Quarter Final this Saturday at 12noon v Dublin, in Crossmaglen. Best of luck Barra & the lads 💪.
Don't forget to get signed up for the Cúl Camp this July at St. Michael's. With our underage teams having made a flying start to their '25 Season, it would be a shame to miss out on this opportunity for some extra footballing fun this summer. Always a popular week!
